KAMAS, Summit County — Officials are asking for the general public’s assist to find a man who did not return to his campsite in Summit County on Wednesday night time.

Ray Humpherys, of South Jordan, was once tenting in the Hidden Lake house in the Wasatch-Cache National Forest, in accordance to an emailed observation from Summit County Sheriff Justin Martinez.

Family contributors mentioned he was once due again at camp about 10 p.m. Wednesday however did not return at the moment, in accordance to Martinez.

Hidden Lake is north of the Crystal Lake trailhead house, west of Mirror Lake Highway.

Family contributors mentioned they had been tenting about 40 yards clear of the lake, and Humpherys had long past to get water for the hearth from the lake however did not come again, in accordance to Summit County Sheriff’s Lt. Andrew Wright.

The circle of relatives was once on an annual backpacking commute, and Humpherys is in wholesome mountain climbing form, Wright mentioned.

Humpherys, 66, is described as 6 toes, 1 inch tall and 190 kilos with brief grey hair. He was once closing observed dressed in a black jacket and vest, a grey blouse with tan pants and a hat, in accordance to Martinez.
