Kaif appointed Daredevils assistant coach

Mohammed Kaif, the previous India batsman, has joined Delhi Daredevils as their assistant coach. The 37-year-old groups up with head coach Ricky Ponting and James Hopes within the Daredevils’ training set-up.

“Delhi Daredevils have roped in former Indian batsman Mohammad Kaif as their assistant coach for the upcoming Indian Premier League season,” the group introduced.

This is Kaif’s 2d such appointment, having labored with Gujarat Lions as their assistant coach in 2017.

“I’m delighted to be part of the Delhi Daredevils and am looking forward to bringing together an exciting group of boys, who are going to make their franchise and country proud,” Kaif mentioned. “With the management team’s support, I am sure we’ll help nurture many of the younger boys in the squad and make this team a force to be reckoned with in the IPL,” he added.

Delhi Daredevils’ Director Mustafa Ghouse mentioned Kaif’s enjoy and management will cling the group in just right stead forward of the IPL subsequent 12 months.

“Kaif brings in huge amounts of experience and a keen understanding of the game to our backroom staff. He’s highly admired on the circuit and will be a natural mentor for the youngsters in the team,” Ghouse mentioned.

“We are confident that his leadership and guidance will help the team tremendously in the new IPL season.”

DD will hope the appointment of Kaif is helping the group flip round 11 years of unhappiness within the IPL and finish their trophy drought. In the newest version, the Daredevils had ended the match within the ultimate position with 10 issues from 14 video games.
