An afternoon after she was once recognized with pneumonia, Gabrielle Daleman received the fast program at the Canadian determine skating championships on Friday in Vancouver.
Skating to a French rendition of “Carmen,” the arena bronze medallist scored 77.88 issues to take a six-point lead over Kaetlyn Osmond into Saturday’s loose program.
Daleman, a 19-year-old from Newmarket, Ont., received bronze at ultimate 12 months’s international championships, whilst Osmond claimed silver.
