Church historian says members need to take care of the Earth

LOGAN — Are you a excellent steward of the Earth? Elder Steven E. Snow of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints thinks you’ll do higher.

According to Elder Snow, Latter-day Saints generally tend to center of attention most commonly on church tasks and circle of relatives duties, which he stated is easily and excellent.

“But I believe we’ll also be held accountable for how we treat one another, the community in which we live and the land that surrounds us. Even the Earth itself,” Elder Snow stated.

Elder Snow stated early settlers of Utah, particularly southern portions of the state, have been busy making an attempt to continue to exist, but additionally took the time to keep the good looks of the land.

“Though present residents were attracted there by that beauty, many of them are complicit in destroying it,” Elder Snow declared.

Elder Snow gave a number of ideas for being a greater steward of the land, together with recycling, power conservation and organising a group lawn.

He made the remarks Wednesday at an environmental stewardship symposium at Utah State University.
