Chelsea Manning, the previous US intelligence analyst who was once jailed for leaking categorized paperwork, is looking for the Democratic Party nomination to run for the US senate in Maryland.
In 2013 Manning was once sentenced to 35 years after being discovered in charge of 20 fees, together with espionage.
But former US President Barack Obama commuted her sentence.
The 30-year-old, who was once born Bradley Manning, will problem Democratic Senator Ben Cardin for the nomination.
The former US soldier moved to Maryland after being launched from jail in May 2017.
Manning was once arrested in Iraq in 2010 for sharing greater than 700,000 confidential paperwork, movies and diplomatic cables with anti-secrecy site Wikileaks.
