Canada’s India Sherret scores 1st-career World Cup ski cross medal

Canada’s India Sherret notched a profession milestone in Idre Fjall, Sweden, on Saturday, taking her first-career podium end at a World Cup ski cross match.

The 21-year-old from Cranbrook, B.C., completed at the back of Swedish winner Sandra Naeslund and silver medallist Marielle Berger Sabbatel of France.

Fellow Canadians Kelsey Serwa, Georgia Simmerling and Britt Phelan completed 5th, 6th and 7th, respectively.

You too can catch extra ski cross motion on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on Road to the Olympic Games, our weekly display spotlighting the most productive high-performance athletes from Canada and all over the world.
