OpenSourceAllTheMethod writes: Elusive boulevard artist Banksy’s well-known “Girl With Balloon” art work was once on sale at a Sotheby’s public sale in New York within what gave the look of a standard, if fairly old school portray body. As quickly because the public sale concluded — the art work was once offered to a bidder for a groovy $1.three Million — a whirring noise began coming from the art work striking at the wall, and “Girl With Ballon” began transferring down within its body, popping out the ground of the body in shredded strips. In what should be an artwork international first, the art work all at once self-shredded in entrance of loads of surprised public sale attendants. It seems that — one way or the other — Banksy or any other prankster put in a battery powered paper shredding mechanism within the backside of the art work’s body that may be remotely induced. In a tweet on his Twitter account, Banksy posted a picture of the destructed art work and wrote “Going, gone, gone…”, probably mocking the apply of auctioning well-known artistic endeavors off for massive sums of cash. The query now could be exactly what — if anything else — the patron of the art work will get for their cash, and whether or not “Girl With Balloon” is price roughly than prior to now.
