An apartment fire ripped through the 100 block of Pulsipher Lane early Sunday morning, according to a press release from Mesquite Fire & Rescue.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., Mesquite Fire & Rescue responded to the scene of the fire along with assistance from the Beaver Dam/Littlefield Fire District and Clark County Fire Department Station #71, according to the release.
Engine 31, Truck 11 and Rescue 31 noticed heavy black smoke coming from the bottom floor of one of the bottom apartments and, with the help of the Mesquite Police Department, evacuated the apartments immediately, officials say.
Firefighters initiated an offfensive attack against the fire, encountering extreme smoke and heat conditions inside the apartment with fire coming from the kitchen area, according to the press release.
The cause of the fire is still currently under investigation. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, according to officials.
