MOAB — Police identified the teenager killed in a bike accident in Kane Creek Friday as Truette Rhoda of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
San Juan County Sheriff Rick Eldridge stated the 15-year-old boy was once visiting the realm along with his dad.
Rhoda and his father had been driving bikes with about 20 folks on a mud highway when the teenager, who was once going 40-50 miles an hour, didn’t make a curve, sending him off the street and sliding about 80-100 toes thru rocks, Eldridge stated.
First responders arrived on the scene of what the company known as a “severe” accident about 1:20 p.m. He was once transported to the medical institution, then again, Rhoda died of his accidents, in line with Grand County Emergency Medical Services.
“Our hearts are heavy tonight as we mourn for this family. Thank you to everyone involved who did all that we could,” the company stated in a Facebook submit Friday.
A Go Fund Me account has been arrange by means of a pal of the Rhoda circle of relatives to lend a hand them duvet funeral bills.
“Truette was a favorite in our house. So thoughtful and kind. What an amazing young man. We love you and pray for your peace and comfort,” one girl wrote at the Go Fund Me web page.
